This guide will help you prepare for a relaxed and successful session and a memorable experience.

how to prepare before your session

We have a great selection of newborn props at the studio, such as wraps, blankets, hats, headbands and baskets however please bring your own favourite baby outfits and accessories to make your photos more personal.

your session

The temperature in the studio will be between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. We come dressed for a warm few hours and we suggest you do too! We offer refreshments in the studio, however we would also suggest that you bring along some food especially if mum is breast feeding. There is a mini-supermarket downstairs should you wish to pick up some food on the day!

Also it would be great if you could bring a couple of small blankets which you normally use to wrap the baby, they will be useful to keep your baby comfortable between shots.

the family photos 

Mum and dad are a big part of the show, as well as the siblings!
Photographing the connection between you and your baby is one of our favourite parts of the session. Well behaved pets are welcome too!

Mums: A loose-fitting top works well. Keep the colour neutral and design simple. Also, bring your makeup bag along and a few tops if you would like to get changed. Your hands and nails will make their way into the images, neutral or none nail polish works best.

Dads: It would be great if you could bring a plain t-shirt or shirt to wear. Patterns tend to distract from the subject and should ideally be avoided.

Siblings:  Simple, coordinated, comfortable outfits work well. We’ll aim to get the sibling shots at the beginning of the session, please bring some distractions and/or snacks to occupy them after their photos have been done or even plan to take them away from the studio whilst we do the baby shots. There is a lovely park with a play area within 10 minutes walk of the studio if the weather is nice!
